Hello! My name is William Shakespeare and I’ll tell you the story of my life. I was born in April in 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon. Stratford is located in Warwickshire. So now I’m 46 years old. My parents are Mary and John. I studied poetry, latin and history in school but I didn’t study at a university. My favourite subject in school was poetry and I didn’t like history. When I was eighteen I married to Anne Hathaway. She was 26 years old. I’m still married to her and now we got two daughters Susanna and Judith. Judith was a twin when she was born and her brother was called Hamnet. But Hamnet died when he was only 11 years old. My biggest interest is theater and plays and I love it. I wrote my first poem in 1593 . It was called Venus and Adonis. We couldn’t play it on the theaters in London then because they were closed because of the plague. I have made lots of plays and poems.

Do you know what Lord Chamberlain’s men is? I started Lord Chamberlain’s men and I’ve been an actor there but I mostly did supporting roles. I didn’t like the lead roles that much. I’m very proud over my plays because some of them have been played in the Globe. I wrote the tragedy Romeo and Juliet when I was 30 and I still thinks it’s the best play I’ve made. Romeo and Juliet have been played many times in the Globe.The Globe is a big theater in London. It was built in 1599 and it’s located on the south bank of the Thames. You can almost see it from here. I thinks it’s a very beautiful building. It’s octagonal on the outside but on the inside it’s round with three galleries. There is also a gallery above the stage and we use it when we play the balcony scenes in Romeo and Juliet. All my plays have made me very wealthy and now I’ve bought a new house in my native town. The house is called the New Place and me and my family live there. I’m sorry but now I have to stop telling you my story. I have ridden here and now is my horse waiting for me so I have to say goodbye.
